I am a week behind at getting this post up. This week was the end of our homeschool year, my last day teaching music part-time at the Catholic School where I teach, and my son’s birthday. In addition to all of that I was one of the worship leaders for church on Sunday morning and my kids’ musical performance was Sunday night. Whew! Very busy week, so I am a little behind, but don’t worry, Ephesians 4 is coming soon too!
My wonderful hubby and kids gave me bible art journaling supplies for Mother’s Day. I got a large format sketchbook with pages thick enough for paint and mixed media, along with acrylic paints and a mixing tray. They were so much fun to play with on this entry.
If you haven’t checked out the devotional post on Ephesians 3 – you can read/watch it here.
It is all about us putting down roots into God’s love and shining the light of Christ brightly in a dark world. I started by prepping my page with clear gesso. Then, I drew a picture of a mangrove tree with lanterns in the branches in pencil and traced over it with black micron pen. I finished up by painting the picture in acrylic paints. Here is the video:
I pray that God will inspire you as you create in His word and it becomes a part of you. I pray that you will take action in the things of God that are scary right now. Sometimes they are the most rewarding of all.
God bless you!
