The bible is truly living and active! The more I create art in my bible and meditate on the word of God, the more it has meaning for my everyday life. This passage is one of those that reveals deeper meaning each time I read it.
I was thinking about how Jesus was able to walk on the water, and it occurred to me that the reason ordinary people can’t walk across the water is that there are physical laws of nature. Science, people! However, God is the One who wrote those very laws. Jesus has authority over those laws because He designed them. He can step out onto the waves and traverse them with ease.
That is the God who is writing my story. He is designing my life plan.
I had some trouble drawing Jesus, but perfection is not my goal. Communion with God while enjoying His word is the goal. The process of bible art journaling, where I draw near to God, is the goal. Not the end product.
