Hey, Everybody,
Did you think I fell off the face of the earth? It feels like I haven’t posted in forever. 🙂 We had a trip to Texas for my birthday in October, followed by a week of a very sick kid. Then my grandfather died at the end of October, and we made an unexpected trip back to Texas for the funeral. Whew!
Since we got back from Texas, it feels like I can’t catch up with anything. This time of the year really ramps up with Christmas programs, special stuff at church, and all the special events for the holidays. With everything feeling so crazy, I am really grateful for Gratitude Documented keeping me in the word consistently.
Psalm 138:1-3 (The Message):
Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!”
Angels listen as I sing my thanks.
I kneel in worship facing your holy temple
and say it again: “Thank you!”
Thank you for your love,
thank you for your faithfulness;
Most holy is your name,
most holy is your Word.
The moment I called out, you stepped in;
you made my life large with strength.
I love the way this version says it, when we say “Thank you!” then God steps in and makes us strong. Awesome!
It has been wonderful to release the pressures of life and enter His gates with thanksgiving everyday. I haven’t been posting blogs or videos, but the process of getting into God’s word and thanking Him daily even for a short amount of time has been invaluable.
