Tip-ins and stamps and gelatos and more: these are a few of my favorite things…
This bible art journaling entry is really simple, but I like it so much. I already had a bible art journaling entry and devotional on John 4, so I chose to create a tip-in for this study through the gospel of John. A tip-in is simply an addition to a book. An extra page that is inserted into a book, in this case a bible. You can insert a tip-in directly into the spine of the book or in another way. With this tip-in, I chose to attach it with washi tape at the top of the page, because I felt that this approach interfered the least with the previous entry when lifted.
Here is the video of the full process:
I cut out a square from white card stock. Then I used Faber-Castell Gelatos (Brights)to create a light color wash for a background. Then, I pulled out an Illustrated Faith stamp of grouped crosses and a gray ink pad. I added the title with Clearly Kelly Outline Letters Stamps and a black Versafine ink pad. Then, I used a paint brush and blue gelatos to fill in the letters in the title. I flipped it over and journaled on the back of the tip-in and then attached it to the John 4 page at the top, so it will flip up and out of the way to view the previous bible art journaling entry.

I hope you are inspired to dive in and experience God’s word for yourself. Think about it! And marvel at the great God we serve…
Blessings,
