But in the bible art journaling world, the humble napkin (the cheaper, the better) is becoming an art tool wielded to create some pretty amazing pages.

And so, I am jumping on the bandwagon, and using a decorative napkin from Dollar Tree for this page in the Gospel of John. As you will see in the napkin tutorial below, not everything turned out quite like I had hoped… Hmmm. That happens to everyone. No one is perfect. No not one.
Perfect or not, it was a ton of fun to play around with this technique. I will definitely be doing it again!
Materials Needed for this Napkin Tutorial Bible Art Journaling Page:
- A cheap decorative napkin (I got mine from Dollar Tree)
- Clear gesso, like this one:
- Scissors
- This free printable: John 13 LOVE
