What God Will Do For Those Who Hope – HOPE Challenge Day 5
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31
Anyone else tired? This year has been wearying. It is difficult to imagine not ever growing tired or weary. But the everlasting God will not ever grow tired or weary.
I don’t have an answer to all the problems in the world. But the Creator of the ends of the earth has understanding no one can fathom.
Gives Generously
He doesn’t hoard his strength and understanding, but gives it to those who hope in Him. Freely, generously, He pours is out on those who trust Him enough to place their hope in Him.
And what happens when we trust in Him and His strength is imparted to us? We will be renewed. Instead of slogging along on the ground, we will soar above the obstacles that used to trip us up.
Renewed Strength
We can run the race and and endure rather than tiring out.
We can walk the walk and not lose heart or give up.
Our hope helps us keep going.
HOPE Challenge Day 5 Action Step:
Are you tired? Worn out? Weary? Do you feel like you don’t have any answers? Take a moment to place your trust in the One who can renew your strength. Hope in the everlasting Creator of the world.
Give the burdens that are weighing you down to God.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
HOPE Challenge Day 5 Prayer:
Dear God, I haven’t always been trusting You like I should. I try to do it all on my own sometimes. Help me to give the burdens over to You and put my hope in You. I need Your strength today. Renew my strength and understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.
