Are you ready for Miracles?
I recently started reading a book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. In it, he talks about 95% of people settling for less than the best their life could be. It’s not a Christian book, but a motivational one on productivity. I haven’t finished reading the book so I don’t even know if I can recommend it to anyone, but I will say that just the first part started me thinking about whether I am believing God for the impossible things in my life. Or, am I just settling for how life is?
The bible is a book about the God of the impossible. It is full of miraculous events in the lives of ordinary, unworthy people. To an unlimited God, the problems in my life are nothing difficult at all. So, why have I stopped asking for what I need?
In John 16:24, Jesus says, “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Does anyone else want their joy to be full? Yet, I often neglect to ask for healing or provision or help, thinking I need to do it all on my own. I need to turn back to my Source and start asking again. Start believing again.
To get my perspective aligned with how big God is, I am going to start studying and blogging about God doing the impossible. Stories in the bible where only God made a way. The miracles of Jesus in the New Testament. Along the way, I hope we all find our faith stretched to remember that our God is still a God who does miracles. He loves us and wants us to ask of Him and see His miraculous power at work in our lives.
Come along with me and let’s transform our perspective and line it up with the BIG God we serve!
“Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!
Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
his MIRACLES, and the judgments he uttered,” Psalm 105:4-5 (ESV)
